Roosevelt Baseball to Remember Fallen U.S. Marine
The Roosevelt baseball players and coaches will wear hats with the name "Will" stiched into the side of their hats this year. This is in remembrance of Will Stacey, a 2006 Roosevelt High School graduate and baseball player, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his country in Afghanistan. For more on Will and the people he touched in his 23 short years, please see the
Seattle Times story.
Congratulations to these Varsity Players
As of February, two players on the Roosevelt Varsity team have been recruited to play NCAA baseball next fall.
Graylin Derke - Graylin will be a two way player (Pitcher, Infield) at Westmont College in Southern California
Zach Naon - Zach will play outfield for the University of Washington
Good luck this spring.
